Photographer. Friend. Daughter. Sister. Godmama. Aunt. Lover of all things beautiful.

For as long as I could remember I have always set out to make my mark in this world. When I was younger I knew I wanted to find my passion in life and make a difference. To share something with others they could cherish forever. After being the girl who ALWAYS had a camera with her, and taking millions of photos of my life and the lives of my friends & family, I realized the way I could make my mark in this world is with my photography. To take a moment and capture it forever. Is there a better gift than that? Because as we all know, time goes by so fast. In the blink of an eye years have gone by and all we have left are memories & photographs.

I want to be there to help you photograph all the best moments in your life. Your engagement. Your wedding when you marry the person of your dreams. When you become pregnant and want photos so you one day can look back and remember how it felt to have your precious one inside you. The birth of your first child. Those newborn photos where your baby was so little and fit in the palms of your hand. First birthdays. Every holiday card you send out each year to family & friends. All the milestones that add up to be the biggest stories of your life.

So many of my clients I have been photographing for years. I have watched them go through these life events, and my photography is my gift to them. I want to thank all my clients for inviting me into their homes and allowing me to help preserve their memories.

“Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever… It remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.” Aaron Siskind

I am based in Los Angeles, but love to travel.

It all started long long ago...

People often ask me when I became a photographer, and I can't help but smile when I think about it. Because honestly, it all started when I was about seven years old and my mom would let me use her camera to take photos of my dolls. Yes, you read that correctly...my DOLLS. I would set up a backdrop using blankets from my bed, and dress my dolls in different outfits and change the props with each photo. And let me remind you that this was before the digital era. So my mom would pay to get all that film developed. To this day, I'm thankful for parents who let me explore my creativity & imagination...because if they hadn't, I might not have ended up a photographer. Not much has changed in twenty years. I still love cameras & photography. But instead of photographing dolls next to stuffed animals, I now photograph newborns with a wide variety of props. And I couldn't be happier.

Getting to know your photographer {ME!}

-I nannied throughout college. People always ask me on newborn shoots how many kids I have, and when I say zero they seem shocked. Before becoming a professional newborn & family photographer, I luckily had years & years of experience of handling newborns and chasing toddlers.

- I'm a Godmother to the most adorable little girl. You will probably spot her on social media frequently since she is constantly in front of my camera. {The picture to the left is of her and her best friend Sadie} Sadie is my dog, and I am convinced that those two could rule the world one day.

-Robena is actually my middle name.

-My favorite color is PINK...and glitter. Someone once told me that glitter is actually considered a color, and I won't argue with that.

-I spend more time on Etsy than you can even imagine. That is where I get most of my photography props...so I'm constantly on the hunt for awesome pieces to add to my large collection.

And that is what I will leave you with. Don't worry, you will find out more about me on your photoshoot. And I look forward to getting to know YOU!

xoxo, Rachel
